Hi,
Geat to hear from you. I breed Section D's and would love to hear about yours so get typing.
I put info on mine on here a few weeks ago and got kinda carried away - it became an essay!!! We are so lucky to have our horses arn't we? Talking about them is definately far more interesting that Eastenders!!!

Hi!
I have several D's and my mother breeds them too (Floreat Stud - website link in my signature). Over the years I have done everything with them from showing in hand and ridden, dressage, hunting, SJ, eventing ... etc! I was lucky enough to grow up riding Cs and Ds (and a few others along the way) as well as being involved with the breeding side so handling the foals, showing the youngsters, and more recently breaking them in too etc.
There is a section of the forum specifically devoted to Cs and Ds, with lots of post with photos, results etc etc.

Wow Lexy,
You are so lucky to have grown up around Welshies. Would be my dream to have been brought up in horsey environment. I'm afraid my poor hubby and mum get that glazed look when I start to drone on and on and on.....
I've just started out with my little stud and I love it - being involved with Welshies is just the best!

I'm Lexy's mother and wasn't brought up in a horsey environment either - we did ride a bit for a few years but pretty minimal. I didn't have any of my own again until after having one child and moving out of London. Most of what I know I've learned from my mid-20s on.

Hi Sarah,
I too sort of became horsey mad again when I was older. I got a beautiful section D mare for my 18th birthday after wanting a horse for years and years. She was smashing, just lovely and though I kept her until she sadly died, my horseying had been put a bit on the back burner until my early thirties really. I blame it totally on being a Welsh fanatic as the bug had truly bitten all those years ago. There is something extra special about all the Welsh breeds isn't there? Now I have a small daughter who starts full time school in September so the "bug" is going to go forth and multiply I think! I feel so lucky to spend all my days down the yard with my horses though when I'm supposed to be poo picking I can often be found flopped in a large heap just looking at them!
I must add credit to you both for establishing your stud and making your mark in the cob world. It is such a fulfilling thing to be involved in and how lucky are we?!!

Hi again Jadeprincess,
Many congratulations on the arrival of your first foal - isn't it just the best feeling?!!! Tell us more about him/her.
I had my first foal born on 31st October last year (Pumpkin) - I know, a very, very late foal but it was my stallion's first ever "hob nob" and he took to it like a duck to water and our lovely mare was very happy to partake!!
Then earlier this year Rosie arrived. She is just emerging as a lovely dark liver chestnut and she was followed by Jack, a beautiful black colt foal.
New life is just amazing isn't it and I look at the mares with their healthy foals and think what a lucky, lucky person I am. Their trust and faith in me is incredible and so rewarding.
