My hubby has wanted to put one in for about 2 1/2 years and i'd said no, as we have the beach down the road, I personally hate seeing them going round and round sand schools. But, after last winter being sooooo long and hard, I have given in and said he can put one in for winter riding.
We're halfway there, just got the terram, sand and one sides fencing left to do (which we'd left so the lorries can get in etc). Will be done when hub has his weeks holiday in October.
It's only 30 x 20, total cost will come in at less than 1k. But that's because hubbies in construction, so these things never cost us much only the surface to buy at trade price. It will be fine for the kids to use of winter evenings.

We are half way though putting in a 20 x 40m school. Drainage is in but land had to be levelled considerably. I have had contractors to do all the work and think at the end of it all it will come in at between £12 and £14k. I have got pics of the field beforehand and now once levelled with drainage in i can send if you want to see. Hoping to finish by end August.

HI guys sorry to hijack the thread but I am hoping to buy the ground I rent and would love to put in an outdoor arena hubby can do a lot of the work, we have diggers and dumpers really just need to buy materials, but where is the best place to find a plan of how to build one as I have googled it and can see drainage is a big deal.
thanks
